The Project: Taj Santacruz
The Challenge: The project faced the challenge of achieving a uniform appearance for GRC despite variations in raw materials and drying conditions. Controlling color and texture in GRC panels from different batches was tough. Protecting both mint stone and GRC from dust, water, and algae during the monsoon was vital for a consistent look, requiring a focus on surface protection and homogenization.
The Approach:To address these distinct challenges at Taj Santacruz, we devised a comprehensive approach. Our goal was not just to safeguard the exterior facade, consisting of both mint stone and GRC surfaces, but also to create a harmonious and visually consistent appearance throughout.
At Taj Santacruz, diverse surfaces like mint stone and GRC were treated with ProtectGuard and ProtectGuard Color to preserve and unify the facade. ProtectGuard MG safeguarded low-porosity stones indoors. These solutions prevented degradation, offering water and stain repellency while maintaining aesthetics. The project not only preserved structural integrity but also rectified color issues, leading to significant cost savings and setting new standards in architectural surface protection and consistency.
The Project: MCA Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana – Masterclass
The Challenge:
The Gymkhana’s external cladding, made of basalt stone and GRC, faces challenges due to environmental factors like rain, pollution, and high humidity/UV exposure. The GRC’s acid wash process gave it a yellow tinge, needing correction for the desired heritage appearance and protection against wear.
The Approach:
We used ProtectGuard Color in white and terracotta shades for GRC surfaces to preserve aesthetics and ensure long-lasting protection. ProtectGuard MG, known for its durability, UV-resistance, and water repellency, was applied to low porous stones like basalt. Trained applicators applied the products, making surfaces easier to clean and maintain while preventing contamination of GRC and basalt stone.
The Project: Kenitra Train Station (Kenitra, Morrocco)
The Approach: Kenitra train station was imagined as a jewel case framing the renewed identity of traditional Moroccan architecture.
ProtectGuard® Color colours the Ductal® envelope. The concrete stain also gives a protection against water and stains.

The Challenge: Colour harmonization and protection of concrete panels
The Approach: The new high speed railway linking Tours to Bordeaux is surrounded by concrete noise-reduction barriers. ProtectGuard® Color was applied to protect and harmonise the colour of the concrete panels installed on bridges.
